    The Sexual Harassment Act casts various duties and responsibilities on the employer, such as providing a safe working environment, displaying the penal consequences of sexual harassment, organizing awareness workshops and providing necessary facilities to the Internal Complaints Committee.

  • Penalty

    Any employer who, amongst other things, fails to constitute the ‘Internal Complaints Committee’ as required under the provisions of the Sexual Harassment Act, is punishable with a fine extending up to Rs. 50,000 (Rupees Fifty Thousand only).
