When an employer maintains this unified register, it covers the following additional compliance requirements as well:
• Forms XXI, XX, and XXIII under Rule 78(1) of Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) (Karnataka) Rules, 1974
• Forms I & II under Rule 22(4) of Karnataka Minimum Wages Rules, 1958. -
Penalty
Imprisonment of one month to six months or fine of Rs. 200 to Rs. 3000 or both.

Application Guidelines / Responsible Persons / Comments
Employer shall maintain registers for advances paid, fines imposed, and deductions made. As per Karnataka Payment of Wages Rules, employer shall maintain a unified register, month wise as per the given format. This consists of establishment details, principal employer details, contractor particulars, and information on fine, deductions, and advances.
